English to Indonesian Interpreter

If you come across this website, you may initially wonder what does Penerjemah mean. Penerjemah is an Indonesian word for Translator. It has been absorbed into Indonesian from Arabic word Tarjamah or translator. Indonesian language or what we call it “Bahasa Indonesia” or literally Indonesian language has been labeled by many particularly foreigners or non-Indonesian as “bahasa”, something that irritates many Indonesian linguists or Indonesian in general as it means only ‘language’.

For the interpreter, we use the word “Juru Bahasa” which refers to live oral translation process for either simultaneous or consecutive interpretation. Contact me for your Indonesian interpreter job in Jakarta or other cities in Indonesia or nearby region. I have traveled to many European countries and Asian for the job.

I am a member of Indonesian Translator Association (HPI), and also a member of American Translator Association. I am currently seeking the membership of prominent Conference Interpreters International Association (AIIC) as pre-candidate. Contact me for all your Indonesian Interpreter service.

Indonesian Interpreters

I obtained the sworn translator certificate in 2006. The certificate was given after the oath given before the Governor of the Special Capital City Region of Jakarta. The sworn certificate number I obtained was  Number 1765/2006. I am not an AIIC interpreter but I am a certified translator from HPI (similar to NAATI certification). I can speak both Bahasa Indonesia and English languages and also a local dialect of Sundanese.

I am a certified Indonesian interpreter and I have the sufficient experience and knowledge in doing a lot of court interpreting. According to Indonesian law, sworn translator or certified translator/interpreter is required for any legal related matters.
